LSI Now Hiring Flyer
Good Afternoon Husky Nation, This is an update on the situation with the potential Boys and Girls Club partnership for an after-school program for Elk Point-Jefferson students. Unfortunately, the Boys and Girls Club did not get the grant funding it was anticipating to get for an EPJ chapter. There was still great optimism a program would start in August but the Boys and Girls Club executive board was not comfortable starting until funding was in place. The program will not be able to start in August which was the timeline given to EPJ when initially starting the partnership. However, a group of individuals has been working with the Boys and Girls Club over the past few months to establish programming. This group is still working to figure out details and the next steps to develop an after-school program for Elk Point-Jefferson students. The group would like to hold a community meeting sometime in August and will provide updates before this meeting. Although a program will not be starting in August, there is hope to get a program established in the future that is beneficial to the communities of Elk Point and Jefferson.
