Our Educators Rising students had an incredible day at the Briar Cliff University Expo today! They were inspired by Iowa Teacher of the Year, Melanie Bloom, whose powerful message reminded us all why great teachers make such a lasting impact. Students took part in a variety of hands-on activities that sparked their creativity and deepened their understanding of what it takes to be an educator. They also gained valuable insight from a panel of college students who shared real-world advice about choosing a college, living in a dorm, and exploring different career paths in education. The day wrapped up with a fun prize giveaway, and every student went home with a great gift. Events like this are helping to shape and inspire the next generation of educators, and I'm so proud of our students for representing our school with enthusiasm and professionalism!

Hello Husky Nation! We wanted to inform you that the parade route this year has been modified slightly. This year we will only be going down Main Street once and instead of turning around to go back down main street we will turn down S Pearl St until we reach E Jefferson St. Please see the image for a visual and spread the word!

On September 25th Educators Rising students attended their first expo of the year. The day started off with a heartfelt message about education from our keynote speaker, followed by breakout sessions where students were engaged in a variety of hands on activities. Some of the breakout sessions the students attended featured Physical education and how movement is essential in the classroom, Special Education and how to customize teaching for all in a fun interactive way. Others attended how to integrate virtual reality headsets and robots in the classroom. and some students attended sessions to learn about FREE COLLEGE CREDIT, and how to apply to college. It was an amazing day and the students are looking forward to our next expo held at Briar Cliff next week Oct 7th.
